How to find Greencarts Farm and Campsite

NE46 4BW:

Travelling from the A69, turn off towards Acomb on the A6079. Continue through the village of Wall and left at Brunton Bank crossroads.  After Chollerford Bridge, turn immediately left at the roundabout onto the B6318.  Continue for 1.8 miles, past Walwick Hall and turn right.  Continue for half a mile before turning left into the farm.

Check In / Out

You can arrive between 3pm and 8pm and check out is by 10am.  If we are not on site when you arrive, we will send you details on the exact site location of your tent(s), usually by text or email.  You don't need to check in with anyone (although you may see some of our team onsite) - just arrive, kick your shoes off and settle in!

Parking

Parking is available across the Greencarts site.  Depending on the condition of the field, you may be able to park right next to your tent.  Please assess the ground conditions and consider the capabilities of your car.

Electric Hook Ups

Please note that electric hook ups - where available - are provided by the site and not by ourselves.  We cannot guarantee the availability of electricity.  If you would like to book a hook up, please call the site on 01434 681 320 to do this.  You must then let us know - a minimum of 7 days before you arrive - that you have electricity booked so that we can ensure you are sited within reach.

DURING YOUR STAY

What we Provide

We provide all the items you need for a comfortable glamping stay including bedding, rugs, blankets, chairs and lights.  We use a combination of double height inflatable beds, mattresses and camp beds (single beds only).  If you have a preference, please let us know and; subject to availability, we will do our best to accommodate.

What we Don't Provide

Towels, ice, firewood (available to buy from the site), charcoal or firelighters aren't provided by us. We  also don't provide heating inside the tents as standard so please make sure you come prepared for all weathers as mornings and evenings can be very cold, even in summer.  You are welcome to bring your own electric heater or hire one from us although electricity must be booked by you direct with the site and is subject to availability - an electric hook up is not guaranteed.

If you have booked a kitchen, this is set up out in the open.  You are welcome to bring your own gazebo / wind break to make cooking a little easier in less than calm, sunny weather.  There is a list of what's included in our kitchens on our FAQs page just here https://www.darkskyglamping.co.uk/pricesandfaqs

You can find more info on what we do and don't provide - along with a suggested kit list - on our Top Tips page right here:

The Site

Please remember that Greencarts is a working farm as well as a public campsite where other campers are hosted throughout the year.  There are simple, shared, hot water showers and loos on site. Any issues with the facilities should be reported to the farmhouse immediately so they can be attended to.  (Please note that floors can get muddy in between cleans when the ground outside is wet.)   Please do not enter the farmyard at any time.

Pets

One well behaved dog is welcome at a small extra charge.  We kindly ask you to treat the bell tent as you would you own home and dry your soggy dog at the door.  For the comfort of our future guests, dogs are not allowed on any furniture and must not be left unattended during your stay.  Dog mess must be cleared up immediately from the site.

AT THE END OF YOUR STAY

Our bell tents are hired on a 'leave as you find' basis.  We require you to leave the tent in the same condition as you found it in to ensure we can offer the same level of service to our next guests. In particular, please ensure:

*all dishes are washed up and put away*

*all rubbish is taken to the site bins located near the showers*

*all glass is taken away with you for recycling*

*any BBQs hired are emptied and grills cleaned*

*all tents are zipped up fully before you leave the site*

We will unfortunately need to charge you for any extra cleaning / drying required after you have left the site.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please ensure that before you arrive, you have read and understood our Terms and Conditions of Booking which you can find here: https://www.darkskyglamping.co.uk/terms-and-conditions

Unless you inform us otherwise, we assume that you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

These points are particularly worth highlighting:

  • Please take good care of our belongings so that other guests can use them after you. You will be charged for any items missing or damaged on check out.

  • Greencarts is not a site for boisterous or loud groups and there is to be no noise between 11pm and 8am.

  • Do NOT use any kind of flame inside the tent including; but not limited to, cooking or using a fire basket  – carbon monoxide poisoning can be fatal.

  • For your safety, naked flames; for example from a cooker or fire basket, are not permitted within 4 metres of any tent.

  • Our tents are made to withstand all kinds of conditions, but you need to take care with the zips – pull them up and down very carefully. Keep all zips closed and items away from the sides of the tents at all times during wet weather.

  • The great British weather can be unpredictable - we strongly advise that you bring warm, layered clothing and also wellies or boots with you in case the field is not dry.  Please take footwear off at the door to help protect the tent floor and your belongings. (high heels are not allowed in the tents!)

  • Please note that our tents are strictly no smoking and a charge of £150 will be made for deep cleaning if any guests do smoke inside.

We wish you a wonderful stay!

We are dog friendly!
